Special Events at Disney Theme Parks
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Disney's theme parks annually hold special events for Christian
concerts, Halloween, and Christmas. One of the most magical events that
I have been to is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
This event takes place at Disney's every own Magic Kingdom. Magic
Kingdom alone is the most magical and fantasized theme park on the face
of the Earth, so adding a Christmas makes it a event to last a life time
worth of memory. First, before going to the actual site my family and I
were invited to a dinner at one of Disney's many resorts, which are all
decorated from head to toe in sparkling Christmas lights that shine
brighter than the stars themselves. One of the ballroom rooms have been
turned into a seating area for many people to come and feast on just
about every thing. Lined up around the room are tables with maroon
colored table cloths witch are mounded with tons of food. There is
everything from bagels, for muffins, to Greek salads, to steak, and for
kids there is an even smaller table which is filled with French
fries and dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets and your choice of sauces. For
desert there is apple pie alamode, ice cream, coffee, eggnog, you name
it. And they even have make it yourself dirt cups.
There is a station
that has your choice of chocolate or vanilla pudding, Oreos, sprinkles,
and gummy worms. Off to the side is professional face painters who will
paint just about anything on your face, arm, hand, etc. I got a red and
white sparkled candy cane that went on my cheek. And to top it all off,,
it was free! Outside there is a spot where you can take family photos
with your choice of Disney's characters. After you are done feasting you
then move on to the most exciting part. the rides! Every ride is still
open when you go. There is a giant Christmas tree that is flooded with
white lights and delicate ornaments. There is snow drifting down Main
Street, and lights that depict Christmas pictures.
Balloons are attached
to every light post and are bundled together to look like giant candy
canes. And to add to the magical occasion, familiar seasonal songs are
being played through out the park. There are two special light parades
that are done at the begging of the night. ( the times were printed in a
brochure) The floats included Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Minnie,
Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Whine the Pooh, and just about every
memorable character you can think of. Oh, and of course at the end there
is Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause with his reindeer to remind you to keep
up the good work and wish you a Merry Christmas. For your convenience,
there is hot chocolate and sweet treats at every cart and restaurant.
Just like every night, there is a fantastic firework show that has an
array of colors that paint the sky in shades of colors you can only
dream of. you wouldn't want to miss this event full of every Christmas
dream you have ever wanted and the fabulous rides at Magic Kingdom.
