Epcot

EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, which was Walt Disney's (The man not the theme park) original idea for the theme park. He wanted to create the perfect society. However he realized using humans as an experiment wasn't appropriate, so he set off to make the theme park a dedication to the advances of technology. Now the park thrives on the great advances around the world, bring these new and amazing breakthroughs to you! Standing in the center of the park is a massive ball, looking much like a massive golf ball this has become the visual icon for the theme park! Inside this massive icon is a tour of the worlds rise and breakthroughs in technological advancement! Learn an abundance of information about how these incredible and amazing new devices will affect the future!

Now don't be discouraged if you were looking for exiting experiences, because Epcot holds some Disney's most popular set of rides! Using the "futuristic" theme Epcot has developed sets of rides that take you in ever direction, from space to the open road you can learn and experience some of the most wild and entertaining events of mankind first hand!

Here are a few of Epcot's most popular rides:

• Mission Space

  Journey to Mars and land your space shuttle with the help of your friends and family. But that's not all, while your managing the controls you will feel the incredible strain that space travel emits, with g-forces and tight turns this is no easy task!

• Test Track

  Learn everything there is to know about what it takes to prove a car is worthy of the road. Then embark on the same missions they ask dummies to take, get up to incredible speeds in short distance and pass through all the obstacles, this speeding roller-coaster like vehicle makes this ride an experience!

• The Land

  Take a boat ride into Epcot's six acre pavilion and explore some of Epcot's most innovative ways to end world hunger. Experimenting in ways to grow food sources in the desert, suspended in the air and even in space! Not only will you pass these special gardens with massive oversized fruits and vegetables but you will have the opportunity to sea a live fish farm.

• The Seas with Nemo and Friends

  Come see a live show with special animatronics, where machinery and man bring this Pixar movie to live in a fun and special effects filled way! See all you're favorite characters as they act and sing out their parts live on stage in front of you!

• The Sum of All Thrills

  This robotic arm lifts you high into the air and covers you in a heads up display. Ride a rollercoaster on this incredible robotic arm twists turns and flips to give you the full feeling of a roller-coaster as your rise safely off the floor!

One of Epcot's special attractions is the World Showcase. Located at the center of the park is a large lake, surrounding it is a wide variety of restaurants each pertaining to a specific country. Each country holds it's own set of attractions and ways to introduce it's culture! Whether it be rides or a short movie, live shows and evens and of course, fantastic food that pertains to the country of origin. This is a great place to eat your meals while at Epcot, and, on certain occasions, during the night there are firework displays in the center of the lake.
